They were accompanied by people in charge of Office of School Affairs and Guangxi Normal University Press.

Prof. Dr. He Zubin expressed his warm welcome to the delegation led by Alain Pompidou. He pointed out that the GXNU had always valued international exchange, and had established cooperative and exchange relations over 200 institutions of higher education and agencies in over 40 countries and regions. He hoped to take this opportunity to strengthen the connection with the Centre Georges Pompidou, France. Alain Pompidou showed his admiration for GXNU's achievement in academic research, international exchange and publishing, and his willingness to cooperate with GXNU. He hoped to take the opportunity of publishing the book "Georges Pompidou: Letters, Notes and Portraits" to further the cooperation.

The delegation led by Alain Pompidou also visited the Guangxi Normal University Press headquarters building and had an informal discussion with the people in charge. The two had an in-depth discussion on book publishing, cultural dissemination and cooperation in other areas.

The delegation led by Alain Pompidou would visit Beijing, Datong, Taiyuan, Guilin and Shanghai, totally five cities in China, to promote the book "Georges Pompidou: Letters, Notes and Portraits." This book was first introduced by the Guangxi Normal University Press in October this year, made of the private letters and notes of former president Georges Pompidou compiled by Alain Pompidou and Eric Roussel, to show his personality and the stories behind many significant historical events. The rare materials in the book were disclosed to the public for the first time in the past 40 years, which made this book an important work to learn about modern history of France.
