Person in Charge of Niagara University's International Programs in China Visited GXNU

As invited by GXNU, Prof. Chen Shuqing, person in charge of Niagara University's international programs in China paid a two-day visit to GXNU from November 23 to 24. Vice President Su Guifa received this guest warmly and held a conference to have discussion with him at the Conference Room 201 of the International Education Exchange Center. Those present at the conference also included Vice President Li Jiayong, persons in charge of College of Economy and Business Administration, College of Vocational Education, College of History, Culture and Tourism, College of Education and Office of International Exchange. 


Vice President Su Guifa first extended his warm welcome to Prof. Chen Shuqing and gave a brief introduction to the current development of GXNU. After listening to the detailed introduction by Vice President Su, Prof. Chen also gave a detailed introduction to the past and present of the Niagara University in the US, and to the colleges and preponderant disciplines that the two universities intended to work together on. Then, the two had in-depth discussion on majors and modes undergraduate programs, teachers' exchange and scientific cooperation. The two universities reached a preliminary agreement. 


 The Niagara University is located in Lewiston of Niagara, the US. It is a Catholic university, founded in 1856. It was named Niagara University in 1883. It is made of College of Business Manners and Tourism Administration, College of Education, College of Economic Administration, College of Sports Administration, College of Commerce, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Nursing, College of Continued Education, Community College and Postgraduate College. It has totally 3,700 students, of whom there are around 3,200 undergraduates. Of its programs, the hotel management ranks top 20 in the US.
