On December 15, the ceremony of the third batch of pilot universities being awarded for "Quality Accreditation on International Students Education" was held in Beijing. Vice President Su Guifa led a delegation to attend this event, and signed the agreement on behalf on GXNU. There were totally 31 universities (including GXNU) winning the award, effective from the next year.
The GXNU applied for this award in a bid to promote the standardization of international students' education and the teaching quality and standard. This accreditation award mainly targeted the quality of teaching philosophy, teaching facility, faculty and staff, teaching management, students' activities and teaching activities, and influence and specialties of teaching.
This quality accreditation event not only helped examined the GXNU's international students' education for furthered improvement and enhanced international influence, but also stirred the progress of GXNU towards a "Double Top" university.
Entrusted by Ministry of Education, China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) as a third-party assessment agency, initiated the project of quality accreditation on international students' education to promote the development of international students' education in China and the establishment of corresponding quality guarantee system. 28 universities including Peking University, Fudan University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Wuhan University had been accredited in 2016 as the first batch of pilot universities, while the second batch of 35 universities were accredited in 2017, including Zhejiang University, Shandong University, Chongqing University.
Zhao Lingshan, Deputy Managing Director of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges (Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs) and Secretary-General of CEAIE and other leaders were present at the events and made keynote speeches.
Dean Li Dongmei of College of International Culture and Education of GXNU was present at the meeting.
