A Delegation from University of Nebraska at Omaha Visited GXNU

On January 11, Dr. Scott D. Snyder, Vice President of University of Nebraska at Omaha and Ms. Jiang Qunfang, representative of international cooperative affairs, visited GXNU. Mr. Su Guifa, vice President of GXNU, received them warmly and had a successful meeting with them at Room 201 of the International Education Exchange Center. Those present at the meeting also included personnel-in-charge from College of Computer Science and Information Engineering, College of Fine Arts and Office of International Exchange of GXNU. 

Vice President Su Guifa first gave his warm welcome to the delegation and made a brief introduction of the current status and development of GXNU, especially GXNU’s cooperation with USA. He pointed out that the University of Nebraska at Omaha was a prestigious university with a profound history, vigorous energy, quality education and especially, high reputation in the fields of governmental and public affairs and social service. He also expressed his wish to establish cooperative relation with the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Vice President Scott D. Snyder expressed his gratitude to Su’s welcome and hospitality. He gave an introduction of the history and development of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and specifically of the preponderant disciplines of his university. Then, the two parties had an in-depth discussion and negotiation on joint programs in computer science, information management, public administration and fine arts, teachers’ exchange programs and scientific research cooperation. They had reached a preliminary agreement and expressed their wish to sign a memorandum of cooperation as soon as possible, so as to make a substantial progress in exchange and cooperation. 

The University of Nebraska at Omaha is a public university situated in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. It was first built in 1908, as a branch campus of the University of Nebraska, and also the third largest institution of higher education in Nebraska. Its majors including criminology and criminal judicature, public and governmental administration, computer science and information system rank top 20 in USA, best in the system of University of Nebraska.
