On the morning of March 28, the 3rd Council Meeting of Confucius Institute of Hanoi University was held at Conference Room 201 of International Exchange Center on Yucai Campus of GXNU. During the meeting, Vice President Su Guifa and Vice President Ruanshi Jufang made speeches successively. Dean Qin Xiaohe made a summary report of the work done in 2017, with a focus on a series of cultural activities sponsored by the Confucius Institute in Vietnam and the HSK test in Vietnam. The participants discussed related issues on financial management, authority and duty, recruitment and management of Chinese volunteer teachers, and venue and facilities of the Confucius Institute. They finally reached an agreement and signed minutes of the meeting. This meeting concluded with a complete success.

The Confucius Institute of Hanoi University, since established in December 2014, has been attracting much attention from the leaders and peoples of the two countries. In November 2017, President Xi Jinping paid a visit to Vietnam and included the remark “running well the Confucius Institute of Hanoi University” into the Sino-Vietnamese Joint Statement. We have every reason to believe that with the support of the both parties, the Confucius Institute will surely play a more important role in bridging the two countries and facilitating the bilateral exchange of the two cultures, and make greater contribution to the educational and cultural exchange of the two universities and two countries.
