From April 26 to 29, 2018, the three-member delegation of Faculty of Liberal Arts of Prince of Songkla University (Thailand) visited GXNU. On the morning of April 27, 2018, the delegation had a friendly meeting with the personnel in charge of the College of Arts, the College of International Culture and Exchange and the Office of International Exchange of GXNU in Conference Room 201 of the International Education and Exchange Center on Yucai Campus, GXNU.
During the meeting, the personnel in charge of GXNU’s College of Arts first extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced briefly their faculty, discipline, research, teaching and training, and international education and exchange experience. They also expressed their intention to cooperate with the Prince of Songkla University. Prof. Kanda Janyam, Dean of the Faculty of the Liberal Arts of Prince of Songkla University extended his gratitude for the hospitality his delegation had received and introduced the preponderant disciplines after briefing the history and development of the Faculty of Liberal Arts. Later, the two parties had in-depth discussion on the “3+1” joint program for Chinese major undergraduates, and on teachers’ exchange and cooperation in research, and reached a preliminary agreement. The two expressed their wishes to sign formal agreements soon so as to carry forward the related projects.
Prince of Songkla University is a comprehensive university founded in 1967, located in Songkhla, Southern Thailand. It enjoys a good reputation of training talent especially for Southern Thailand. GXNU and Prince of Songkla University co-founded a Confucius Institute in December 2016, which has become a well-known and leading Chinese education and cultural promotion center in Southern Thailand.
