GXNU Delegation Visiting Thailand and Malaysia

From October 23 to October 30, Mr. Sun Jieyuan, Vice President of Guangxi Normal University (GXNU), led a delegation to visit Thailand and Malaysia. The delegation visited Thailand Rangsit University, Chandrakasem Rajabhat University, The University of the South, Tunku Abdul Rahman University, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, Thailand Jinhe Chinese Training Center, Confucius Institute of Prince of Songkla University, Tang Feng International Educational Institute (Kuala Lumpur) and Kuala Lumpur Kun Cheng Middle School. The delegation also visited Thai State TV Broadcaster, Consulate-general of the People's Republic of China in Songkla, and Malaysia Chinese Association.


During the visit, the delegation negotiated and discussed mainly about recruitment of full-time international academic students, "3+1" Undergraduate Exchange Program, Joint Cultivation Program for Postgraduates with master and doctoral degree, teacher development, staff exchange, short-term internship program, cooperation on scientific research and scholarship, international promotion of Chinese. Mr. Sun Jieyuan, Vice President of GXNU, on behalf of GXNU, signed a contract extension of cooperation agreement with University of Raman, and then unveiled the nameplate of Chinese Culture Center co-established by GXNU and Thailand Jinhe Chinese Training Center.


This visit not only strengthened the signed cooperation between GXNU and Thai counterparts as well as Malaysian counterparts but also created a stream of cooperative possibilities on new programs. This certainly enhanced GXNU's influence in Thailand and Malaysia, and broadened horizons of GXNU administrative staff. The delegation learned the advanced conception of international school management and achieved the goals of this journey.


The delegation included members of Faculty of Arts/College of Journalism and Communication, College of History, Culture and Tourism, College of Education, College of International Culture and Education and Office of International Exchanges.
