The COVID-19 epidemic has touched the hearts of people everywhere, at home and abroad. GXNU’s foreign teachers have paid close attention to the development of the epidemic and have tried their best to cooperate in whatever manner necessary.
Japanese teacher Nantian said: “I go to the pharmacy every day for medical masks, but they are all sold out. I’ll look for some other ways to take some masks back to school.” Thai teacher Wei Bingyan said: “Every one of us has the responsibility and obligation in epidemic prevention. Everything will be fine if we keep going. Stay strong, China!” Indian teacher Ishaan and Malaysian teacher Maribel had previously booked flights back to their home countries, but they determined to cancel their plans after the outbreak of COVID-19, bearing the pain of remaining separated from family and friends during such times. Taking precautions and staying at home is making a big contribution to the prevention of the epidemic in this special period! Ishaan said, “I didn’t feel this was the right time for me to leave. Now is the time to stay put as a sign of solidarity and support for everyone affected during this epidemic.”
For all foreign teachers, whether at home and abroad, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to you: thank you for your support and cooperation. As long as we work together, the spring is bound to come!
