Welcome to study at Guangxi Normal University (GXNU). Please read the guidelines carefully before your arrival in GXNU.
I. Registration
1. Registration time: March 1- March 7, 2026
2. Registration place: Lobby of International Education and Exchange Center, Yucai Campus, Guangxi Normal University, No.15 Yucai Road, Guilin, Guangxi.
3. Registration requirements: the Admission Notice, JW202, Passport, 6 passport photos (same size as the passport photo).
If you come to GXNU within the period of registration time, please inform us of your specific flight or train information at least 7 days ahead by email to studentaffairs@mailbox.gxnu.edu.cn, so that we could arrange a free transportation service to pick you up from Guilin local airport or railway station . If you fail to register within the time limit without the permission of the institution, you will be regarded as giving up this admission.
II. About Visa and Residence Permit
Please make sure you enter China with student visa (X1 or X2) for your study. Enclosed are the Visa Application for Study in China (Form JW202) and the admission notice to Chinese Embassy or Consulate, which you may need for your student visa application.
1. If you enter China with X1 visa, you must obtain a residence permit within 30 days after entering into China. Please be aware of its expiry date and renew your visa with the help of administrators of Office of International Students Affairs, GXNU. Otherwise, you are responsible for all costs and consequences it may cause.
2. If you enter China with X2 visa, you do not have to apply for residence permits within the validity of the visa.
3. Physical exams are required for applying residence permit. To apply for the resident permit, a qualified result of full medical Check-up issued by assigned hospitals in Guilin is required. Otherwise, you will not be accepted by GXNU.
III. Insurance Purchase
A medical and accident insurance plan covering your stay in Guilin, provided by local insurance company, is needed (800 RMB each year, the school will purchase insurance for full scholarship students).
IV. Other Considerations
1. You are required to live in the university dormitory.
2. In order to maintain the road traffic order in the university, electric bicycles and motorcycles are forbidden to be used on campus.
3. Religious activity is strictly prohibited on campus.
