  "Vietnamese guests visiting GXNU Vietnam School Museum

On February 23, the Vietnamese guests attending the Chinese New Year Informal Meeting of Leaders from Guangxi, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang and Ha Giang visited the GXNU Vietnam School Museum, accompanied by President He Zubin, Vice President Su Guifa and Deputy Secretary of Guilin City Bai Songtao. 

From the 1950s to the 1970s, helped by Chinese government, Vietnam opened eight schools in Guilin, with over 14,000 students in total. Most of these students all had studied at GXNU Wangcheng Campus, Jiangjunqiao Campus, Yaoshan Campus and Yucai Campus. In May 2010, the Vietnam School Museum was opened on GXNU Yucai Campus, with a rich collection of the precious materials of those days. At the museum, the guests from Vietnam visited the halls themed “Ho Chi Minh in China,” “Yucai School,” “Special Operation School,” “No. 92 School” and “Vietnamese Students in GXNU Nowadays” successively. The history was replayed in front of the guests. The Vietnam School Museum not only recorded the history then, but also played an anthem for the China-Vietnam friendship. 

During the visit, President He Zubin, on behalf of GXNU, exchanged cadre training letter of intent with representatives from Lang Son and Vietnamese Consulate-General in Nanning, and also exchanged presents with representatives from Lang Son. 

Vice President Su Guifa, on behalf of GXNU, made a speech during the visit. He pointed out that China and Vietnam were close in distance and similar in culture. Such a visit and the agreement reached would further promote the cooperation between GXNU and Vietnam.
