Young Scholar of CICE Attended International Conference in Qatar Fully Funded
From March 27 to 28, 2018, YAO Wenhao, a young instructor from CICE of GXNU attended the 9th International Conference on Translation at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Doha, Qatar, and delivered a speech.
There were 30 total speakers from over 30 countries, including some very influential translation scholars. YAO was the only speaker from China and his speech won recognition from the attendees. This international conference was well organized.
The flight and accommodation of all the speakers were fully covered by the organizers. Being invited to attend this conference is a proof of the research capability and international vision of our teachers, especially the young teachers. Qatar is a country with diverse ethnic groups, a high living standard, open and inclusive cultures and a friendly relationship with China. Such an experience also serves as a way to promote the academic exchange and friendship between the two universities as well as the two countries.
