From June 19 to June 28, the Middle and Senior Cadres (From Liangshan Province of Vietnam) Training Course was held at Guangxi Normal University (GXNU). Nighteen leaders from different 14 departments including the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Provincial People's Committee and Beishan County in Liangshan Province, participated in this training. Su Guifa, Vice President of GXNU, attended the opening ceremony and closing ceremony.

GXNU offered 8 lectures including Socialist Legal Construction, Construction of Socialism New Countryside, Planning and Constructing a Good City, Exploitation and Protection of Guilin Tourism Resource. GXNU also arranged the trainees to have field visits and study in Lingui District and Tan Ziping Countryside of Daxu Town. 

During the closing ceremony, on behalf of GXNU, Su Guifa expressed his congratulations and gave the Course Completion Certificates to the trainees. He said that GXNU and Party Secretary of Guangxi and Vietnam Border Provinces signed an agreement in relation to holding Middle and Senior Cadres (From Liangshan Province of Vietnam) Training Course at GXNU on February 23, 2018. This was also to carry out the agreement on the cooperation for training cadres between Vietnam Communist Party cadres in Hejiang, Gaoping, Liangshan, Guangning and other provincial party committees and the Chinese Communist Party Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region District Committee, signed by President of China Xi Jinping during his visit in Vietnam in November 2017. After 3 months of preparation, Su Guifa said that the first session of the training was successful. He hoped all the trainees could apply what they have learned into their real practice by making more contribution to the political and economic development of Liangshan Province and fulfilling the expectations of both country leaders and to propagandize Guilin and GXNU.

The representative of the trainees, Ruan Mengxiong, Director of the Cadre Organization Office of Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Liangshan Province, expressed his great gratitude towards GXNU's hospitality and good arrangement of the training program. He said that every trainee came to Guilin to study with a mission and determination. By learning theories and practice, they gained deeper understanding of the advanced theories. This helped them broaden their horizons, and they praised the modern development of Guilin,the social harmony and people's happiness. Finally, Ruan Mengxiong expressed his will to visit and study in Guilin again.
