Delegation Led by Secretary of CPC GXNU Committee Deng Jun Paid a Visit to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan

From December 9 to 16, 2018, a GXNU delegation led by Secretary of CPC GXNU Committee Deng Jun visited eight universities and institutes in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan and signed cooperation agreements with Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev and KIMEP University in a response to the “Belt and Road” Initiative.

 

The delegation received warm welcome during the visit. In Kyrgyzstan, the delegation visited Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev, Kyrgyz National University, Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, and GXNU’s Chinese Culture Center in Kyrgyzstan. In Kazakhstan, the delegation visited KIMEP University, Confucius Institute of Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, International Kazakh-Chinese Language College, and the Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Almaty. 


Deng Jun introduced briefly the history and strengths of GXNU and expressed his hope to carry out in-depth cooperation in student and teacher exchange programs, academic exchanges, research cooperation, mutual recognition of credit, “2+2” dual-diploma bachelor programs and “1+1” joint master programs. On the basis of win-win cooperation, through scholarship programs, GXNU would support more excellent students from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.


At the GXNU’s Chinese Culture Center in Kyrgyzstan, the delegation met the alumni as well as the students who would study at GXNU soon. Deng Jun encouraged them to work hard to contribute to the peace, development and friendship between China and Kyrgyzstan. 


During the delegation’s visit to the Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Almaty, Deng Jun reported on the cooperation between GXNU and the universities of Kazakhstan, winning appreciation from the Consulate. 


The official visit expanded the room for exchanges and cooperation between GXNU and universities in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
