President Xi Jinping Met Outstanding Units in China’s Educational System and Outstanding Teacher Representatives School of Education of GXNU was Awarded with the Honorary Title of Outstanding Unit in China’s Educational System
On the 35th Teachers' Day ( September 10, 2019), celebration ceremony of 2019 Teacher's Day and Awards Ceremony of Outstanding Units in China’s Educational System and outstanding individuals were held in Beijing. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President of China, Chairman of the Central Military Commission, cordially met the representatives to be awarded at the Great Hall of People. President Xi expressed his warm congratulations to the Advanced Units and the outstanding individuals, and then he extended his sincere greetings to the teachers and the teaching-related staffs all over the country.
Li Keqiang (Standing Committee Member of Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Premier of the State Council) and Wang Huning (Standing Committee Member of Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee) also attended the awards ceremony. Sun Chunlan, Member of Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Vice Premier of the State Council, delivered a speech at the awards ceremony.
At the awards ceremony, 718 teachers were awarded as National Model Teachers, 79 teaching staffs were awarded as Outstanding Workers in China’s Educational System, 597 units were awarded as Outstanding Units in China’s Educational System, 1432 teachers were awarded as Outstanding Teachers throughout China, 158 teaching staffs were awarded as Outstanding Educational Workers throughout China, and 1355 National Teaching Achievement Awards were awarded.
The School of Education of Guangxi Normal University (GXNU) was awarded with the honorary title of Outstanding Unit in China’s Educational System. Professor Sun Jieyuan (Vice President of GXNU, Head of School of Education of GXNU, Distinguished Professor for “Chang Jiang” Scholars by Ministry of Education, National Educational Inspector, and “Ba Gui” Scholar), on behalf of School of Education of GXNU, went to Beijing to receive the award.
