Chinese-foreign Cohesion to Promote Students’ Exchange Program Implementation
During the epidemic outbreak, GXNU has about 200 exchange program students studying in 8 countries. Office of International Cooperation and Exchange took initiative to communicate with the relevant parties to promote effective implementation of the programs.
1. Strengthen Publicity and Build Awareness. Publicize knowledge and requirements of prevention and control to exchange students to raise their safety awareness.
2. Build Mechanism and Strengthen Dynamic Oversight. Build the dynamic feedback and oversight linkage mechanism with “college + overseas university” and grasp the dynamic information of 46 people returning to China and 69 people leaving China.
3. Adjust the Program and Take Settlement Measures. For 17 overseas colleges and universities, having adequate preparation and flexibility in postponing or canceling programs was a must; cooperate with other colleges (faculties) to ensure students’ safe return to school; put forward the requirements of prevention and protection for safe return to school; work out settlement plans for students back in China.
GXNU received great cooperation and support from students and cooperative colleges and universities, thereby guaranteeing students’ safety, and promotion of program implementation.
