On June 29th, the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School Program on Artificial Intelligence Technology and Application Practice was solemnly held in the Lecture Hall on the Second Floor of the Yifu Building, Yucai Campus.

Prof. Li Xianxian, Member of the University Party Committee Standing Committee and Vice President of Guangxi Normal University, attended and addressed the ceremony. Also in attendance were: relevant leaders from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges (College of International Culture and Education); members of the leadership team from the School of Computer Science and Engineering (which also encompasses the School of Software and the AI School); and all faculty involved in the program. The opening ceremony was presided over by the Party Secretary of the School of Computer Science and Engineering.

During the opening ceremony, distinguished guests and participants watched the university's promotional video and the School of Computer Science and Engineering's introductory film, which comprehensively showcased the institution's educational achievements and advancements in its academic disciplines. In his address, Vice President Li Xianxian emphasized that this program represents a significant initiative by the university to advance the internationalization of education and contribute to China's Belt and Road Initiative. He noted that artificial intelligence is profoundly reshaping the global innovation landscape and encouraged participants to seize this opportunity, exchange knowledge and spark innovation, and deepen cross-cultural friendships, ultimately becoming pioneers in advancing international scientific collaboration and cultural exchange. The Dean of the School of Computer Science and Engineering provided a detailed introduction to the school's development history, academic disciplines, international partnerships, research teams, and research platforms. The ceremony concluded with a group photo session of all attendees.

It is reported that the Artificial Intelligence Technology and Application Practice 2025 Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School program actively responds to the Ministry of Education's initiative on developing Study in China · International Summer School programs. It aims to establish a high-level international academic exchange platform and promote talent development and research collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence. This summer school has attracted 26 outstanding participants from Hanoi National University of Education, the University of Science (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), and Hanoi University. The curriculum combines theoretical seminars and hands-on sessions covering large language models, machine learning, and computer vision. Participants will also visit the Key Laboratory of Educational Blockchain and Intelligent Technology (MOE), The Memorial Hall for Sino-Vietnamese Educational Exchange , Yanshan Campus Library, and Guixue Museum (Guangxi Regional Culture Museum). This integrated approach creates a dynamic synergy between academic exploration and cross-cultural dialogue, fostering a mutually enriching experience for all attendees.
